Before we talk about graft numbers, dates or treatment, we need to understand your hair.

Send Fair clear photographs of your hairline, top, crown and donor area. Our team reviews your case manually and gives you a personal first assessment — without an automated graft calculator and without asking you to choose a package first.

5 photos. That’s where we start.

05

Back / donor

Back and lower donor area clearly visible.

No filters. No flash. No wet hair. No hat.Just your hair as it is.

We don’t just count bald space.

A serious first assessment is more than looking at the empty area and guessing a graft number.

  • Hair-loss pattern and which areas actually need treatment.
  • Donor density and visible donor quality.
  • Hair calibre, colour/skin contrast and general hair characteristics visible from the photos.
  • Hairline possibilities and whether lowering or rebuilding it appears realistic.
  • Crown involvement and whether one treatment is likely to be enough.
  • Whether the donor should be preserved for future hair loss.
  • Signs that better photos, medical information or an in-person assessment are needed before giving a plan.

The goal is not to give you the biggest number. It is to give you the most realistic first plan.

What you get back from Fair.

  • Whether you appear to be a suitable candidate from the information provided.
  • Which areas Fair would prioritise.
  • An estimated graft range where photographs allow a responsible estimate.
  • Whether one treatment appears realistic or whether a staged approach may be more appropriate.
  • How Fair would use its Combined Sapphire FUE + DHI standard for a suitable scalp case.
  • Any donor or medical questions that should be clarified before reservation.
  • Current Fair pricing and what is included.
  • Suggested next step if you want to proceed.

Important: online assessment is preliminary. Final graft count, design and medical suitability are confirmed in person before treatment.

No automated graft calculator.

A photograph can help us estimate. A calculator cannot understand your donor.

Fair does not ask you to draw a bald area on a screen and then automatically return “4,500 grafts”. The same size recipient area can require a completely different plan depending on donor quality, hair calibre, existing miniaturised hair, future loss and safe harvesting limits.

A real case needs a real assessment.

Better photos = a better first answer.

  • Use daylight or bright neutral indoor light.
  • Keep hair dry and in its normal position.
  • Take the photos close enough to show scalp and donor detail, but not so close that the overall pattern disappears.
  • Ask someone to take the back/donor photo if possible.
  • Do not use beauty filters, portrait blur or flash reflections.

A few medical questions matter too.

Photos show hair. They do not show medical history.

  • Full name and age.
  • How long hair loss has been progressing.
  • Previous hair transplantation, if any.
  • Relevant medical conditions.
  • Current medications or regular treatments.
  • Smoking / alcohol where relevant to pre-operative planning.
  • Known allergies or prior anaesthesia issues where relevant.
  • Approximate preferred treatment timing.

Talk

You receive your first assessment and can discuss questions directly with the international patient team.

The right answer is not always “come to Istanbul.”

A free analysis is useful only if the clinic is willing to say when a transplant is not the right next step.

  • The donor may be too weak for the requested coverage.
  • Hair loss may still be too unstable for the requested plan.
  • A medical issue may need clearance before treatment.
  • The patient may need realistic expectations about crown coverage, density or a possible second session.
  • Sometimes better photos or an in-person examination are needed before Fair can responsibly answer.

Fair analysis means a useful answer —not a yes at any cost.

Free hair analysis FAQ

Is the hair analysis really free?

Yes. The initial photo-based Fair assessment is free and does not obligate you to reserve treatment.

Can Fair tell me the exact graft count from photos?

Usually only an estimate or range is responsible online. The final graft count depends on in-person donor examination, treatment design and medical assessment.

Do I need to know whether I want FUE or DHI?

No. Suitable scalp patients are assessed around Fair’s Combined Sapphire FUE + DHI standard. You do not need to choose a technique package before assessment.

What if I have had a previous hair transplant?

Send current photos and mention the previous procedure, approximate date and graft count if known. Repair or second-session planning depends heavily on the remaining donor and existing result.

Does a positive online assessment guarantee treatment?

No. Final medical suitability, hairline design, donor evaluation and treatment planning are confirmed in person before the procedure.

Your hair deserves a real first answer.

Send Fair your photos. We will look at what your donor appears able to support, which areas matter most and what looks realistic before you decide anything.
