Deep Sleep Anesthesia · Fair Hair Clinic

Sleep through the only
painful part.

For most patients, the uncomfortable part of a hair transplant is the local-anesthetic injections at the beginning.

With Fair's optional Deep Sleep Anesthesia, you are put into a medically controlled deep sleep for around 15 minutes while the local anaesthesia is administered.

When you wake up, your scalp is already numb and the hair transplant continues while you are awake.

Around 15 minutes asleep. Local anaesthesia given while you sleep. Then the treatment continues numb.

01 · Three simple steps

How Deep Sleep works

01

You go to sleep

The anesthesia doctor gives the IV medication and brings you into a short, controlled deep sleep.

02

Local anaesthesia is given while you are asleep

The local-anesthetic injections are administered during this approximately 15-minute sleep phase.

03

You wake up with the scalp numb

Once the local anaesthesia has taken effect, you wake up and the transplant continues normally. Extraction, recipient work and implantation are performed while the scalp is anaesthetised.

The point is simple:you sleep through the injections.

02 · The experience

Why patients choose it

Some patients are not worried about a hair transplant at all. Others are worried about one thing: the local-anesthetic injections.

Deep Sleep is designed for that second group.

  • strong needle anxiety
  • low pain tolerance
  • previous painful medical experience
  • fear of local-anesthetic injections
  • patients who simply want the most comfortable start possible

You don't need Deep Sleep for a better result. You choose it for a different experience.

03 · Dedicated anesthesia team

Three extra people.
Just for the anesthesia.

Deep Sleep is not handled casually by the hair-transplant team.

When Deep Sleep is added, three additional anesthesia professionals are involved purely for this part of the treatment:

  • 1 anesthesia doctor
  • 2 anesthesia technicians

They manage the IV anesthesia, monitoring and recovery phase while the hair-transplant team remains focused on the hair transplant.

1 anesthesia doctor + 2 anesthesia technicians. Added purely for Deep Sleep.

This is one reason Fair offers Deep Sleep inside a professional private-hospital setting.

Optional.

It is the only planned paid medical add-on at Fair.

It does not change your graft count, technique, hairline planning, PRP, Graft-Tech or the quality standard of the transplant.

You are paying for the extra anesthesia service —not for a better hair transplant.

06 · Medical suitability

Who can have Deep Sleep?

Deep Sleep is optional, but it is still anesthesia. The anesthesia doctor must first confirm that it is suitable for you.

Before treatment, tell Fair about your medical conditions, medications, allergies and any previous problems with anesthesia.

You will receive the exact eating, drinking and medication instructions for your case before treatment.

07 · Quick answers

Deep Sleep FAQ

How long am I asleep?

Around 15 minutes. The exact timing can vary slightly depending on the patient and anesthesia plan.

What happens while I am asleep?

The local anaesthesia for the scalp is administered during the Deep Sleep phase.

What happens when I wake up?

The scalp is already numb. You remain awake for the rest of the hair transplant while the local anaesthesia is working.

Is the whole hair transplant done while I am asleep?

No. Deep Sleep is a short phase at the beginning. The rest of the transplant is performed while you are awake and locally anaesthetised.

Who manages Deep Sleep?

A dedicated anesthesia team: one anesthesia doctor and two anesthesia technicians.

Does Deep Sleep improve my hair result?

No. It improves the treatment experience. The hair result still depends on donor planning, hairline design, graft handling, implantation and biology.

How much is it?

+€350, subject to anesthesia assessment.

If the anaesthesia is what worries you,
remove that part.

Tell Fair before you book that you want Deep Sleep Anesthesia. We will add the option to your treatment plan and arrange the anesthesia assessment.
